Force Majeure

Events outside Luther500 Festival control, which are not reasonably foreseeable, shall be considered force majeure, meaning that Luther500 Festival and Bridges To Germany are released from Luther500 Festival and Bridges To Germany obligations to fulfill contractual agreements. Example of such events are government action or omission, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes or lack of delivery from suppliers. The force majeure also includes government decisions that affect the ability to provide contracted services, for example, restrictions, warnings, bans, etc.

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required with initial registration, after July 1, 2018.  Payments can be made in US Dollars at the Euro conversion rate in effect on the date of the payments.  A total of 50% of the Festival registration cost which includes housing, is due by October 22, 2018.  Payment of the full remaining balance is due by the end of the year, December 31, 2018. We are required by vendors in Germany to pay 100% six months in advance, so we need to pass that requirement along. We understand, of course, that plans can change and unexpected circumstances arise. So, full refunds are available, excluding the 10% non-refundable deposit to hold the space, up through December 31, 2018, and up to 50% can be refunded in the case of a cancellation up through Easter Day 2019, eight weeks prior to the festival.
